$2.75 Million Recovery Announced

Berenson Injury Law has recovered $2.75 million on behalf of the wife, adult children, and mother of a man who died in a collision in Fort Worth last year.

The man was driving to work early in the morning when his car collided with highway equipment.

After conducting a detailed investigation into what caused the collision and opening an estate in probate court, we filed a lawsuit.

The company vigorously contested liability and damages, arguing that the man had been speeding and not paying proper attention, had died upon impact, and was not wearing his seat belt (added when the investigating police officer changed her story, which we successfully rebutted).

After taking the depositions of the corporation’s safety representatives and other employees and obtaining admissions of fault, the case settled at a mediation when we proved that the company had not followed required safety procedures.

I am delighted that our clients were so happy with the results. They wrote:

  • “We appreciate all your hard work on behalf of (the decedent) and the family.  I am grateful that you represented our family.”
  • “Thank you Bill for being there for us!”
  • “Not only did Mr. Berenson give us closure but he was there for us emotionally as well. Also he was great with communication — if we had a question it was answered right away, even if it was at 7 pm or on the weekend. I would recommend him to anyone!”
  • “Thank you so much Bill!”
