In January a brother and sister were driving on the north side of Fort Worth when a young man ran a stop light and crashed into their car shown here. They went to the emergency room the next day and were diagnosed with strains and sprains of their necks and backs. They were then treated by a chiropractor.
My firm just resolved their claims for the full amounts of the drunk driver’s insurance policy of $60,000.00. I was going to file a lawsuit if the company continued to balk. We then slashed my clients’ medical bills, legal fees, and expenses and today they received $35,600.00.

DWI Is Far Too CommonÂ
The drunk driving problem in Texas is out of control. We are number one in fatalities caused by drunk drivers every year, with 1,323 Texans dying last year.
And it should be sobering that 10,265 Americans died in alcohol related crashes last year.

These car crashes are preventable or at the very least, should not happen as frequently. We need more education, more Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission and law enforcement preventive measures, stronger laws, more criminal penalties and education, and yes, more civil lawsuits to get the message out that you cannot drink and drive.
