Fort Worth Zoo Has A Brand New Baby Elephant!

Here’s a wonderful story that I wanted to share with you: Rasha, a 40 year old endangered Asian elephant, just gave birth to a calf who weighs in at a whopping 330 pounds.

This is extremely rare — it’s only the second time in the 104 history of our fantastic zoo that this has happened and the number of elephants have drastically declined over the past 50 years.

The zoo has asked us to name the baby. You can vote on its Facebook page.

Tomorrow I’m going to take my wife and 23 year old daughter to see this adorable “little” girl. We used to go all the time when Marissa was a little girl. And I’ve practiced personal injury law for the past 31 years in the River Plaza Building just across the Trinity River from the zoo and I always get a kick out of hearing the lions roar in the morning and at night as I’m going to my car. Just another thing I love about living in Fort Worth.

I hope you are having a great summer!
