Emergency personnel had to use the Jaws of Life to extricate a tow-truck driver after he veered off the road and slammed into a tree off FM 534 in Jim Wells County. According to a report by Kiiitv.com,
just after 8 a.m. the truck veered off the road and the driver apparently failed to applied the brakes. After emergency crews extricated the man from the vehicle, HALO flight was called to transport him to a nearby hospital where he remains in intensive care. The photographs show the enormity of the collision.
