Today a toxicologist testified that the former Dallas Cowboy had to have drunk an astonishing 17 drinks to reach his blood alcohol level of 0.18 given his build (he is 6-feet-2 and weighs 320 pounds).
Brent’s lawyers attacked the tests that showed that he was two times over the legal limit of .08% and produced an expert witness who said that protocols had not been strictly followed.
Yesterday the jury members listened to the 911 call Brent made and watched the dash camera showing his arrrest and his blood draw. He complained continually that his rights were violated because he had an out of state driver’s license, fought the blood technician, and had to be handcuffed.
Brent faces up to 20 years in prison if he is convicted. He’s also eligible for probation.
