Governor Rick Perry again named his chief of staff to the Texas Supreme Court. Jeffrey Boyd will take the bench next week. He will be its fourth new judge in the last three years, along with Justices Lehrmann from Fort Worth, Devine, and Guzman.
Boyd replaces Dale Wainwright, who recently resigned to work for the Bracewell & Guiliani office in Austin. Boyd had been a senior partner in the Austin office of Thompson and Knight.
The governor previously appointed his chief of staff, David Medina, but he was defeated in the Republican primary.
