Grapevine Accident Kills Driver

A 19 year old young man died in a terrible car crash near Grapevine early this morning.

The accident happened at about 3:20 a.m. along westbound Highway 114 near the exit into DFW Airport.

The Ford Mustang driven by Oscar Garcia left the highway traveling at a high rate of speed and struck a concrete block that held a traffic sign. The car then rolled over several times and caught on fire. It is not clear at this time if alcohol or drug use was involved.

Fortunately it does not appear that any passengers or other vehicles were involved.

I previously blogged about how dangerous the DFW Connector project is and how the number of wrecks at night had increased by 74% since construction began.

And now that we are building so many new high speed roads here in the Metroplex, and our streets are more crowded than ever before (I’ve lived here going on 40 years, starting SMU Law School in 1976), there will unfortunately be many more accidents. Of course, drivers need to drive more safely in construction areas, and on our roads in general.

I hope this never happens to you, but if you have been injured in a motor vehicle collision in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, please contact me to discuss how I can get you the money you deserve.
