I recently settled a case involving a woman who was crashed into by a driver insured with Driver’s Insurance Company (a/k/a Baja Insurance). That negotiation process was ridiculously complicated, but I made the carrier pay both of my clients (I also settled her husband’s claim for policy limits) substantial sums.
And after a lot of stalling, I finally made the company issue payment after mailing the company the lawsuit I was about to file. My client filed a complaint with the Texas Department of Insurance and is not the first person to do this.
This spreadsheet lists the number of confirmed (valid) complaints about each insurance company that the Texas Department of Insurance has received. It is sorted by the “complaint index” (which calculates the number of complaints in relation to the number of policies). Drivers Insurance has the highest number.
I have been representing Texans injured in car accidents for over 32 years, and every time I find out that a company like Drivers is involved, I know that my job is going to be even harder. But it doesn’t deter me from my mission of securing the maximum compensation for my clients.
Please call or email me if you are being jerked around by an insurance company. I’ll fight to get you the money you deserve.
